How it works

Flatbridge is many Jamaican shops on one checkout. Browse vetted merchants — registered businesses (Verified) and identity- and history-vetted shops (Trusted) — and pay with Apple Pay, Google Pay, or any card in JMD. One company on the receipt; one number to call if anything goes wrong.

For buyers

  1. Browse the catalogue. Every item comes from a Jamaican merchant we’ve vetted — either Verified (TRN + Companies Office of Jamaica) or Trusted (identity- and history-verified).
  2. Order online and pay with Apple Pay, Google Pay, or any card — in JMD. One charge from Flatbridge, one company on your statement, regardless of which shop fulfilled the order.
  3. Pick up locally from us at an agreed point, or have it delivered. International buyers can ship via courier; transit times vary by destination.
  4. If anything goes wrong with the order — wrong item, no-show, damaged in transit — you contact Flatbridge, not the merchant. We resolve it.

For merchants

Run your own Flatbridge storefront with your products, photos, and pickup details. You set your asking price; Flatbridge marks it up to cover card processing, cross-border conversion, and our service fee, then displays the buyer-facing total. We handle the checkout, the buyer support, and any chargebacks — you pack the order and we pick it up to deliver. Apply as Verified (with TRN) or Trusted (identity- and history-verified, no formal registration).

What Flatbridge is

  • An online store for goods from vetted Jamaican merchants — registered businesses and Trusted-tier shops.
  • The single point of contact if anything goes wrong with an order.
  • Apple Pay, Google Pay, and any major card — all in JMD, all on the same checkout.
  • Operated locally; designed for buyers in Jamaica with optional service for diaspora buyers.

What Flatbridge is not

  • A regulated payment provider or money transmitter. The technical posture is described in our terms.
  • A delivery service. Local delivery is included as part of the order; we’re not couriers.
  • A guarantee of perfection. Things go wrong sometimes. The difference is that you have one number to call when they do.
